Tunista Construction teamed with NAC Architecture and Auburn school District to complete facility upgrades at Evergreen Heights Elementary. Tunista was the Prime Contractor on this project and with great team effort from the Owners and Subcontractors this project was completed on time and on budget. This was completed through a challenging time due to a labor strike. As a team we were able to plan and navigate through this and still give a quality product on time.
These upgrades included construction of a separate staff parking and bus pick up area, creating an actual parent parking and drop-off area, adding more play area and playground equipment for the kids, creating ADA compliant access through the existing courtyard, new security fencing, and updated site lighting with security cameras.
There was also work completed in the ROW to remove a severe blind spot due to the hill in front of the school. This hill was drastically cut down to remove this hazard for the kids, parents, and facility leaving the school.
