Tunista Construction specializes in capital improvements and infrastructure related construction. Our Civil Group teams with our Building Group to provide a wide variety of integrated construction operations in support of our Federal clients. Tunista Construction’s Civil Group is capable of performing large and small civil construction projects from start to finish, and self-performs site-work construction, site concrete, earthmoving, underground construction, landscaping, and various general engineering construction services. We utilize state-of the art technology including grade control and machine control technologies using GPS to ensure precision work, resulting in increased efficiencies, reduced costs, and eliminating wasted time and resources.
We specialize in Design-Build and value engineering on civil construction projects for a wide variety of clients, from federal to municipal to private. Tunista Construction is has performed numerous projects that meet and exceed LEED requirements, and implements green initiatives into our standard way of performing work. Our Civil Group operates using the same systems and management programs as the Building Group, and both work synergistically under the Lean construction principles for project delivery.

Tunista is supported by Bilista Holding Company and Brice Inc., through which additional services can be provided for various projects throughout Alaska and the Western United States. Resources include Marine Construction, Aggregates, Environmental Services, and Marine Logistics. We are a union contractor with extensive experience in cold weather work and have the special knowledge necessary to perform a successful project in Alaska and other climates with extreme cold and severe weather.
