This is a three-phase project to create a functional water storage solution at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. In the first phase, TCL constructed a new 200,000-gallon water storage tank. Due to the soil conditions discovered by TCL, the tower was erected using drill piers and cast-in-place concrete. Phase two was the demolition of an existing elevated water storage tank that dated back to WW2, and complete restoration of the site. Phase three was a piping modification on a second existing tank in a high security area on the base.
Tunista Construction also performed site work including access drive, pipeline connections, splash pads, excavation, backfill, and grading.
