Project Description

The scope of work involved the installation of POL/HAZMAT Storage Buildings, fluid distribution system, and fluid recovery system to comply with established Center of Standardization criteria.

Tunista Construction installed a 180 SF portable POL storage building that is sized to hold one week’s worth of materials used in the POL Distribution Room, and a 180 SF portable hazardous storage waste building, including all electrical and mechanical components. TCL also provided and installed a fluid recovery system that allows the transfer of used waste oil and waste antifreeze from the collection stations to the appropriate waste fluid tank. This included several components, including movable collection vessels, collection stations, piping, pipe installation, pumps, storage tanks, hose rack/stand, hose reel, and a pump system.

This project was performed in three phases to allow for sequenced work and continued facility operations during construction.
